Troyal Garth Brooks is a fantastic musician. The man who mainly writes and performs country music was a true legend in the nineties but decided to stop playing music shortly before the new millennium began to focus his efforts on raising his daughters and charity.
Luckily for us, Garth Brooks has made some sporadic appearances and decided to release a couple of new songs once a while. His comeback ensures for a whole of nostalgic feelings, but it also allows younger generations to get a taste of Garth’s music. With two Grammy Awards, 16 American Music Awards, multiple others and an induction into the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame, Garth Brooks is definitely an artist that never ceases to amaze.
The country music mastermind decided to bring a visit to the set of Good Morning America to present his new and extremely heartfelt song, simply titled ‘Mom’.
Before he brings his stunning performance, though, Garth starts with a small speech and talks with the host Robin Roberts about his interpretation of the song.
Garth himself describes his song in a very interesting manner and gives you insight into the lyrics.
A conversation between God and this unborn child about ready to go down to earth. And when God describes what a mom is… Whew, it kills me.
It doesn’t take long before Garth evokes massive amounts of goosebumps and watery eyes. An incredible performance right from the heart.
So hush now baby, don’t you cry – ’cause there’s someone down there waiting whose only goal in life – is making sure you’re always gonna be alright. A loving angel tender, tough and strong – it’s almost time to go and meet your mom.
