It’s a marriage tradition that the groom and the bride can’t see each other on the day of the wedding, and this groom took advantage of that by providing his loving wife Jenna with a nice surprise.
You’ll remember wedding days for life, but Jeff Althoff wanted to make this day extra special. On March 4th, the two gave each other their vows and were declared husband and wife in a beautiful ceremony in an equally as stunning cathedral and venue.
Josh says that Jenna wanted to have a puppy for so long. When he grabbed the microphone at their wedding, his newlywed wife certainly didn’t think she was going to get a surprise. Josh already detailed his plans for a surprise to his group of groomsmen, but even they had to wait until the reception to see what exactly the surprise was.
Josh, somewhat anxiously, gave a very heartfelt speech and thanked their friends and family for coming to their wedding and spending time with them on the happiest day of their lives.
“I’m a little bit nervous up here right now because I’m about to give Jenna a big surprise, but she doesn’t know that,” Jeff said.
Jenna kept op smiling but couldn’t wait to see what her husband had in store for her.
“I’ve heard a few rumbles and a few jokes about it along the way, but Jenna I decided to give you a wedding gift that was completely for you,” he said.
He also clarified that the surprise wasn’t a new set of hunting gear, as both Josh and Jenna are avid hunters. He did mention that is was something that she desired to have one day.
“Would you agree with me that the last few hours have been the best hours of your life as a family of two?”, after which Josh pauses shortly. “We have now become a family of three!”
At that very moment, Josh’s surprise was revealed: an adorable and loving puppy. Jenna clearly got emotional and immediately shared some more love with the dog.
Josh shared a video of their wedding, including footage of this heartwarming surprise. What a day to remember!
