I don’t know about you, but although it’s been almost half a year, I’m still not fully over Brangelina’s breakup. They were supposed to be the celebrity couple that could make it through thick and thin. Thanks to their divorce my faith in love and marriage has irrevocably destroyed. Thanks a million guys.
Of course, we all know the pair’s story. Brad and Angelina met during the filming of the 2005 rom-com movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. This was when Pitt was still married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston. The marriage didn’t stop Jolie and Pitt from falling in love however, and just weeks after the affair was discovered Aniston filed for divorce from Pitt, and Brangelina went public. It was as scandalous a story as you could hope for.
Over the course of their decade-long relationship, the pair adopted three children: Maddox, Pax, and Zahara. They’ve also given birth to three children of their own: 10-year-old daughter Shiloh, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
The couple’s breakup was one of the biggest stories of 2016, and it would appear that it’s showing no signs of disappearing from our headlines anytime soon. Even the sight of Pitt stepping outside and into the glare of the paparazzi is enough to send us in a tailspin.
When Pitt found himself on the wrong end of a paparzzi’s lens as he walked into a Los Angeles art studio recently, everyone was shocked at just how different he appeared. His face looked gaunt, his skin pale, and his face unshaven. He used to be one of the most recognised faces in the world, but now you’d struggle to realise who he was.
So how has Pitt been spending his time since the divorce? There are rumours that he’s been spending 15 hours a day creating a sculpture under the direction of his long time friend, artist Thomas Houseago. Who’s willing to bet that it’ll look nothing like the following bizarre Brangelina sculpture, which was designed as a tribute to the couple’s once loving relationship?
Pitt’s next acting project will be the Netflix war drama War Machine, directed by David Michôd. The drama will co-star Ben Kingsley, Emory Cohen, Tilda Swinton and Anthony Michael Hall. Here’s hoping Pitt’s had enough time to learn his lines in between sculpture class.
